Injured Woodpigeon

Found this poor thing in my garden today seriously injured, I put some food and a dish of water down on the path, it would not let me get to close, it had some seed and water about two hours later it was gone.

Oh no, I hope it recovers. There have been quite a few pigeon fights round here. I assume it’s mating season.
