Skyward Bound by pdulis

Skyward Bound

We are skyward bound today on the way to New Jersey to celebrate Thanksgiving. Interesting shot out of the window flying over the Allegany Mountains at an altitude of around 23,000 feet. Clouds that form in long linear stripes are fairly common, and are formed by a phenomena known as gravity waves caused by the air flowing perpendicular to the cloud lines. Very cool !

Ooh quite interesting :)

I always did like the window seat and the interesting clouds out there. You have captured this well.

Cool shot Peter, at first glance, I thought they were waves… wrong direction. Fun to play with in Photoshop though.
