We are skyward bound today on the way to New Jersey to celebrate Thanksgiving. Interesting shot out of the window flying over the Allegany Mountains at an altitude of around 23,000 feet. Clouds that form in long linear stripes are fairly common, and are formed by a phenomena known as gravity waves caused by the air flowing perpendicular to the cloud lines. Very cool !
