The Badlands are a small field of rolling clay hills in Caledon, Ontario, mostly devoid of vegetation. The formation is mostly red in color due to iron oxide deposits with some faint green streaks due to ground water percolation changing the red iron oxide into green iron oxide. I got there before sunrise to catch the first light on the hills.
