This aging barn used to provide Baraat Wedding horses. The Baraat Indian wedding ritual involved the use of a white horse, to transport the Groom to the wedding venue.

Very nice capture, Peter. I’ve been to an Indian wedding reception where the groom arrived on a white horse and the bride arrived in a carriage, which if my research is correct is called a Doli. It was a lovely reception and for me a chance to see some of the culture of friends......so different from our western culture. And great food too!!
Had to laugh as a Barrett home here is just one of the many mass produced modern homes that spring up all over our countryside with just enough room between the houses to wheel the wheely bins out to the bin wagon! I know it’s different spelling but a completely different building! This is a beautiful barn.
