Iceland is a country of varied and interesting landscapes, some of the most fascinating are to be found in its mountains. Iceland owes much of its character to these big mountains formed from volcanic eruptions on the Mid-Atlantic ridge. From Vestrahorn's awe-inspiring peaks to its grassy dunes, this was definitely one of my favourite places to photograph.

Your striking images are really motivating me to pull out my old photos of Iceland, from a few years ago, and take another crack at processing them with my now better software. Sadly I do not have the interesting back ground information for them that you have with yours as my time there was short and whatever I did learn has been lost in the mists of time LOL Looking forward to the rest of your series from Iceland.
