While visiting LaSalle Park, we walked the trails and the wild birds ate out of our hand. Unbelievable experience. The Chickadee is a small songbird with a distinctive call that lives year round in Cootes Paradise Marsh a wetland at the western end of Lake Ontario.

Wow -- that's amazing. My chickadees are rather skittish. They fly in pairs into my backyard, make their way over to the feeder, pick out a peanut and then fly into the safety of some underbrush where they can eat in sheltered spaces.
I have tried to get the chickadees that come to our deck to eat out of my hand. They’ve thought about it but I suppose they figure the seed in the feeder is less of a risk. Nice shot!
