As today is (in the UK) Ascension Day, I thought a church might be appropriate.
This is St John The Evangelist, built in 1878 originally as a "daughter" church to the much smaller St Mary The Virgin at the other end of Bexley Village. It is in traditional Victorian Gothic style and has a number of architectural and liturgical features which are noteworthy for those with an interest!
NB In most UK churches, the celebration of Ascension Day moves to the following Sunday (i.e. 28th, this year) - just to avoid any confusion!
