I hadn't really intended to start a "Primary Colour Week" in my project, but this occurred to me after Sarah @sarahlth had pointed out that yesterday's shot featured only primary colours (something that had, surprisingly, completely passed me by). To make up for my poor artistic education in this field, I thought I'd see how far I could get with it...
By the way, if you haven't read this book, I can say I enjoyed it immensely. The author, Dava Sobel, has also written on John Harrison, clockmaker ("Longitude") and Nicolaus Copernicus ("A More Perfect Heaven"), both of which I found fascinating.
And, another shot for the August "nifty-fifty" celebration.
hi Peter, loving your capture for your theme, those flowers look like I could jut pick them up! can I ask of the project as I notice a few people doing different things, is it part of 365 project?
@lovingandsharing Hi, Kay. There are various themes running. Check out the Themes in the Browse or Discuss tabs, or look at the right hand of your PC screen on your homepage. My "Primary Colour" theme which I might stick to this week is entirely my own thing (I find weekly themes help me sometimes). The "nifty-fifty" theme is something started by another 365-er for any photo using a 50mm lens. Canon do a couple of variants, both with very wide aperture limits which make for interesting possibilities. I'm sure Nikon must do similar lenses.
@peadar are I see, thank you, when I get a bit of time I will have to browse around and have a look, sounds interesting, don't want to run before I can walk, as the expression goes, as just feel like am turning a corner in learning photography.
