Mundane abstract challenge (phew!) by peadar

Mundane abstract challenge (phew!)

If you're expecting a long and very technical explanation of this shot, prepare to be disappointed. I'm not quite sure I could replicate this even if I were paid to do it!

This is therefore for the mundane abstract challenge. Ahem...

Many thanks for all your comments over the last few days - I really appreciate them all and they do help!

I like it and do not need to know how you did it!!

Sometimes abstract images just come together after a lot of fiddling. I like it

I think it's a nice abstract but a tiny bit of a pity that the elastic band is hardly recognisable ;-)
September 5th, 2017
Well that's different, I don't think you can get anymore abstract than this

@stimuloog Thanks. Isn't that the point of the abstract challenge? This did start out as a shot for the mundane challenge, but that's another story!

@suzanne234 A masterful understatement!

Really colourful and interesting abstract. I love it when photos just evolve all on their own sometimes.

Very cool! I like the colours against the white.

@peadar I might have a different opinion than others in this matter, I don't know ;-) I think: what's the use of coming up with a subject and after editing it's total unrecognisable?! For me the challenge would be (but, hey, that's just me;-)) to give the subject an abstract look but still being recognisable. That would be a far bigger challenge as far as I'm concerned. i completely understand if you can't relate at all to this personal opinion of mine :-)

@peadar Haha, new day, fresh mundane start ;-)

@stimuloog Today I'll post the less processed version of the same thing and you can compare the two for interest.

@peadar I'm looking forward to it :-), Peter.
