Forgive my slight excitement, this is the first time I have used the panorama merge feature in Lightroom. I love the result (although already making notes to self about tips for future use).
Here you have a view of London taken from Greenwich Observatory, which sits atop Blackheath in the south-east quarter. Immediately in the foreground you see the Queen's House (built 1616 - 1635 by King James I for his wife, Anne of Denmark). Behind that is the imposing Royal Naval College, and then on the opposite bank of the river are the modern skyscrapers of Canary Wharf in London Docklands. Over to the right you see the Millennium Dome (officially "The O2") built for the celebrations at the turn of the third millennium (and used in the James Bond film "The World is Not Enough"). Over to the left you can see the start of the old City of London - although this panorama is not enough so I'll have to return for another go on another day.
Many thanks for all of your comments over the past few days; very much appreciated.
Firstly, congratulations on your first panorama merge.
Thanks for explaining the lay of the land. Never been before in London, it gives one a good perspective of what there is
