Canal bridge by peadar

Canal bridge

This is the Lancaster Canal - Glasson Branch, which was opened in 1820, shortly after the main canal line, and provided the link from the inland waterway to the sea. Just up ahead of this bridge is the canal terminus, in the Glasson Dock, with lock gates that provided the interchange between the open water and the canal system.
Nice lines and reflections

Liking the look through under the bridge to the waterway beyond. It looks so peaceful with the reflections in the gently rippling water too.

I like the line, which leads my eye to the boats at the background.

The view is nicely framed by the bridge. I really like the meandering lines in the water leading you to those lovely clouds. Great shot

Super shot, on one of my favourite walks - Lancaster to Glasson Dock on the disused railway, Glasson Dock to canal main line along this branch, then main line back into Lancaster. Fav!

@lmsa Louise, that is such a lovely comment, thank you. I wasn't aware that I do, but on reflection, I do search for serenity in life generally.
