I came across this bed of lavender on a trip with our family visitors to a local park. There's something about this which appeals to me, although it's certainly not the best shot in the world!

It's a snapshot of those long, tranquil summer afternoons filled with light, warmth and the drone of bees around the lavender (not that I can see any bees but I bet they were there). Things like this are good for you.
The light on the lavender is so high summer, and yes I think I can hear the gentle drone of warm bees.....! Nice weather to have had visitors, if a little warm!
