magazine

In my last month of the project I'm going to try and push myself to cross off some of the ideas from a (very!) long list I have built up of from 365 Friends of things "I must try".

So, here we go, never tried this before! Not the best image in the world but there is a limit to the amount of time you can spend arranging the pages of a (photography, please note) magazine just to take a photo!

Thanks for all your recent comments and follows - appreciate them all.
oh what a fab idea! ~ think I will need to get me one these lists and a magazine :-)

Wonderful!

I think that worked a treat!! Very well executed.....if you need any tips on water shots don't hesitate to ask Jackie S !! Be prepared to get wet though!! Are you leaving us when your time is up?

Great tones and a nice idea to start crossing off things from your bucket list. For this shot I might've chosen to compose this in halves - I mean, the mag in the center, with equally wide sections of table and wall (and that way also the full reflection on the tabletop). There'd be more symmetry. However, it's just my view, yours is equally valid. :) On a side note - I love that tabletop, you get some really nice reflections with it. :)

This is lovely, Peter!

Love the hearts effect! Great idea and shot!

Simply lovely, Peter. I love the reflections on the table top. I hope this will not be your "last" month, just your last month of your 365. Hopefully you will continue on.

Gorgeous!

A great idea.
I must remember to try this out.

@fannyb Fanny - this and Henri's comment are strangely co-somethingorother (sibilant, no, that's sound, resonant, perhaps). I will certainly be stopping regular shots on 365, although I have got to thinking that I might do weekly market day shots? What do you think?

@henrir Henri - what a sweet thought. Yes, I meant last month on the project, thank you for the correction :-)

@joa Johanna - yes that would look great, but I don't have a table and wall big enough ;-) Thanks for the comments!

@paulien Thanks, Paulien.

@peadar market day shots would be great. I love your food shots.

Inspired! And I have been too.

I must try this too! Its worked out really well! I do like your matter of fact approach to how long we should spend on a photo set up......! Do you detect a slight desperation creeping into our projects now..... A bit like the last supper of 365! How about water crowns, are you up for trying them, think that'll be my next photo!
January 2nd, 2013
@peadar Heh, I know that problem! I'm beginning to think that I should do some remodeling - my study into a studio, as most of my indoors shots suffer from lack of space. Because I suppose you can't really help it if you run out of wall or table! :)

I had no idea what this was when I looked at the thumbnail but when I clicked on it - wow what a brilliant idea! Great pic
January 2nd, 2013
You did a great job Peter, not something I have mastered as yet.
January 2nd, 2013
@jackie8 Jackie, I have done one water drop, but I do need to get a crown (how odd does that sound?).
January 2nd, 2013
@rosiekind Thanks, Rosie!

Very inventive, beautiful shot.

Great shot. I like the almost monochromatic color. I'm in my final weeks of the project and there is sooo much I have not tried.

Wonderful Peter, very creative! I love creativity in photography although haven't done much myself. I cannot believe scrolling down to write a comment I noticed my sister-in-law on the other side of the world has commented on this photo too! It certainly is a small world!

@elaine55 Elaine - how about that! And, thanks for the nice comment!
January 3rd, 2013
I really like this, most creative! I quite like that it's not totally symmetrical, puts your own mark on it!
January 3rd, 2013
All this talk of crowns and water drops, I think we're all batty.....market day shots would be perfect, your food shots are fantasticamorical
January 3rd, 2013
@salza Sally, now you've done it, I'm going to have to go back and do it again :-) Thanks for the comments.

Clever idea, nicely executed! I like the way you also have the reflection of the magazine @peadar
January 3rd, 2013
Great idea, very nice !
January 3rd, 2013
You're funny, did you especially choose a photography magazine? I think it's a nice pic and I like the reflections on the table.
