I recognised this straight away - Cauldron Falls at the bottom end of West Burton village. I remember this from when a winter Dalesbus used to run from York, and at that time of year the waterfall was a raging torrent. Fav!
@peadar I don't think you named them incorrectly, you just didn't name them. Your photo brought back some great memories of short walks on cold wet winter days, which are probably a lot better in memory than they were at the time!
@fishers Ian, well, anything we remember fondly must be special, surely. We spent many years camping in The Yorkshire Dales, so we have lots of those memories!
