not without hope.
I was out running errands this morning when I saw this woman get off the bus in the rain. I think she was heading to the nearby soup kitchen for lunch. It always breaks my heart a little to see a sight like this. I wish I could fix the world. The only thing I could think to do was stop at the church to see to see if they needed anything for today's lunch. Turns out they were short on ranch dressing. I know that twelve bottles of ranch dressing won't change the world. But, I can hope that it made lunch a little better for this woman and others.
Nice theme shot, Peggy. And good for you . . . every little bit helps toward the greater good. Random acts can and do make a difference in the lives of all.
Her lunch will have tasted all the better for your Ranch dressing Peggy, and the world needs more people like you!! *hugs* that was a very kind gesture and I am sure it was appreciated.
PS Love the placing of your logo today :)
You've got a good heart, Peggy. Nice capture. (I see you're into trash removals nowadays. Yesterday you were an author. I guess you poor authors have to do something to earn a crust.)
What a wonderful thing you did Peggy! I love hearing stories like that! I wish more people would "pay it forward" as you did today! Great shot and words to go with it! You are a wonderful soul!
Oh, Peggy! You are so nice...I'm going to go visit the food bank and find out if they need anything...one small act creates other acts of kindness so in effect you've done more than you think...that my dear is HOPE!!!!
Yes, 12 bottles of Ranch can change the world. So can a pair of socks to a homeless person, a package of peanut butter crackers, and a bottle of water. I keep these things in my car and give them out at stoplights where the needy stand with signs asking for "anything". Small acts of kindness.
There is a radio drive here called Lead SA and everyday they are encouraging simple acts of kindness - this made me think about that . thanks for sharing ( in more ways than this )
It reminds me that we can get so hung up taking 'nice' pictures that we forget to chronicle 'life'. And we can be so busy sympathising that we do nothing - but you did something. Now if you can just get on with that water into wine business...!!

Thanks for the lovely comment, Judith! About the miracle wine ~ my sister-in-law suggested I practice with turning potatoes into vodka. I'll let you know how it goes. :)
I have to agree with so many here. You are a wonderful person and it is so true how one act of kindness can have a domino effect. I'm so pleased to "know" you, and wish you many blessings!
Its not what you gave that counts....its the fact that you cared and actually did something about it.
I think so many of us think about doing something for the great good but never do.
Well done to you !!!
God Bless You, I feed the homeless my husband and I and by the grace of God there go we... Thank you for having a heart for those who struggle. Laying up treasures in heaven, right here on earth! >; )
PS Love the placing of your logo today :)
Thank you, all, for the more than deserving comments. I told some FaceBook friends, who were shining my halo, that as soon as I'm able to turn water into wine my hubby, Tom, will proclaim me a saint and we'll have a mega celebration. All invited! :)
