New Life by peggysirk

New Life

in the herb garden. Looks like it's about time to get in there and clear out the old. This is my first attempt at intentional over exposure.

I really am going to sit down later tonight and catch up on commenting!!! Right now I'm off to the theater for a rather geeky event. :(
That is refreshing to see this new green... I like how the background is fading.

I agree with @ShadowDancer - Seeing new green is wonderful. Beautiful picture.

Great angle, super green and purple hue of the herbs. Love this Peggy. I too have had a go at the overexposure theme this week. ;-)

Looks like little sprouts growing out of a nest - spring personified! Lovely.

I think it's a lovely picture Peggy. I think you're going to have to try a little harder to fail!!!

Gorgeous color and focus!!

Great theme shot, Peggy. You had to get down pretty low to get this one, eh? Looking forward to finding my chives under the snow. I know they are there!

Thanks so much for the lovely comments, everyone. It really is wonderful to see some signs of spring after a long, cold winter. :)

@Diana ~ I usually love just about anything at the theater. But, as a performing arts volunteer, occasionally there are events I'm required to attend that I'd rather not. This was one of them. It was a loooong evening. :(
@Barb ~ Hope you don't have to wait too long to find your chives. :)
@Sheri ~ You didn't see the dozens of deleted shots. :)
@Bethany ~ Thanks so much for the follow! I love meeting new people in this wonderful 365 community!

Ooo....gorgeous green... and blue!!

@bluemoon @pfmandeville
Thanks, Paula and Pam. I don't have room to complain about winter compared to what the two of you have endured...but it sure is nice to see spring on the way.

Awesome focus! What did you see at the theater?
February 24th, 2011
Lovely. The over exposure of the background works so well.
February 24th, 2011
Love this shot....enjoy your geeky event...I kinda like attending those. ;o)

Very pretty!

The geeky event sounds intriguing (:
I really like the way this turned out--it made the detail pop (and makes me want to get onto some spring planting)
February 24th, 2011
This is really really good - enjoy the theatre

This gorgeous photo of your herb garden has reminded me (and inspired me) to start that veggie/herb garden I've been planning for too long

Thanks, Katrina, Sue, Isis, Yoella, Molly, Clarissa, Glynnis and Catherine! It's so good to see some evidence of spring taking hold.

@Molly ~ you still up for coming over to help with a little spring planting in a couple of weeks? :)

@Isis, Clarissa, Glynnis, and Katrina ~ the theater event was worse than I anticipated. Okay...let's just say that I'm not a Clay Aiken fan. :) But, as a volunteer, I don't have a say in event bookings.

@peggysirk Aha!! Your true passion will remain safe with us....

@clarissajohal
heh ~ sometimes you have to take the bad with the good. :) Unfortunately, that one was Really bad.
