Apparently it's too hot to even sit out on the porch. I took a walk a little while ago in an effort to get something interesting to post for 365 today. Not a whole lot going on in the 'hood.
Hope you're having a great weekend! :)
Such a fabulous collage Peggy, I love the whole decking thing & would just love to have one but they're not that common over here ! Have to make it a fave as it would be my dream ! Have been reading in todays paper how hot you are having it !!!
@happypat Thanks, Pat. Porches were an important feature of homes in the southern US back in the early 1900's when most of the houses in our neighborhood were built ~ before air conditioning. It was definitely the coolest spot to be on days like this. All the older homes were retrofitted with AC decades ago, but the porch is still a wonderful place to sit and read or visit or whatever when it isn't so blooming HOT and humid!
@peggysirk The New Zealand houses have.sort of verandahs & I love to sit on those too when we visit our sons but yours are so relaxing looking , just an old chair & a book & I would be in my element !!
Ooh I do love your 'hood shots! Beautiful porches - they even look hot & it takes me back to you winter collages - glad you haven't featured any Christmas wreaths!! Fav
such a nice collection! there isn't one of those that i wouldn't like to take a book and sit out on. sorry you're having such hot weather, but you could always send it across the atlantic if you like - we'd be glad of it :P
LOL, such pretty porches too! Our neighborhood is more of the same. Our neighbor was mowing his lawn at 8PM last night just to escape the heat a little!
