It took a while for the moon to rise above the tree line last night. As impatient as I am, I kept trying to get a shot too early. It finally rose above the trees just before I was ready to call it a night. The focus would have been a lot better had I used my tripod rather than my knees as a prop...that impatience thing again. :)
@dora Thanks, Dora! It was a relatively mild night for February here. So I sat out on the side porch with a glass of wine and my camera...should have had my tripod too, but oh well. :)
@barbsmith Thanks, Barb! I just used three shots in a collage format on Picasa. I wasn't thrilled with the focus on any of them...but that's what happens when you prop your feet on the porch railing and use your knees as a camera base. Or maybe it was the second glass of wine... :)
@jquinn Since it was a bright full moon I had the camera set at 400 - 500 exposure and fstop 16. Should have used a tripod for better focus, but I was too lazy to get it out. :)
I love how you put this together - like watching the moonrise from my own porch! Minus the streetlights and road noise ...maybe I'll have a glass of wine...
Ooooh - your impatience made for a fab collage! @bpaquette I'm never drinking again - I've been paying for an ill-disciplined encounter with a nice bottle of Chardonnay last night!
