Gorgeous, gorgeous Peggy & what a talented lady...we are so lucky with our 365 friends!!!!! I think Robin could sell this print over & over!!!! Love the way you have framed it too, it really does it justice!
That Robin is such a talented photographer! She also has access to so many amazingly beautiful subjects! I love it! The framing is so perfect for the soft colors. Kudos to @girlie!
I'm hoping that your "poignant day" was caused by the same thing that caused a lot of American's to have a poignant day. I would hate to think that there was something else making you sad.
Oh good heavens, that's a brilliant job! It's amazing to see it hanging on your wall like that. Thanks for posting it, Peggy, and I'm so glad to have been able to do that for you. And thanks, also to @happypat@petersonsheri@lisjam1 for their kind comments. Commiserations across the miles (or kilometres) for your 'poignancy'; you're not the only ones to feel like that, I assure you.
Tried to edit my post to correct the link to Robin's photo and my new narrative is not being accepted. :( Totally frustrating. Maybe I'll try to redo the entire post in my second, rarely used, album...
Unsuccessful. :( Oh well. The condensed version is this fabulous photo of Robin's is now enlarged (11x14) and framed (16x20) and proudly hanging in my bathroom. I love it!!
@petersonsheri Thanks, Sheri! I agree with you...love Robin's shots from down under!!
The poignancy was in the fact that it was my beloved older brother's birthday. David lost his fight with cancer when he was 49. I always feel the loss, but his birthday is particularly tough.
@girlie Thanks, Robin! I just love my 'girlie' print. This photo doesn't do it justice...it looks so amazing! Hate that my post explaining this fabulous photo of yours got messed up...I'm completely frozen out of making changes to it. :(
Peggy, I'm sorry about your brother; I misinterpreted your comment re 'poignancy' (although I realised it probably wasn't the right word for what I thought you meant). These memories are always hard particularly on special days. Hope all else is good with you.
Oh Peggy and you've really done it justice! So sorry to hear about your brother - that is really unfairly young - but there's nothing fair about cancer.
@judithg@girlie@jenrobcarr@petersonsheri ~ Thanks so much, ladies, for your words of compassion. We lost David several years ago, but his birthday is one of those days that, naturally, brings the hurt a little closer to the surface. He was a major presence in my life...a movie star handsome older brother who lived life in big, exciting way. Gone from us too soon ~ but as you said, Judith, there is nothing fair about cancer.
