It's another wonderful rainy Monday. I just stuck my camera out the door and snapped. This is actually inspired by a discussion I saw on 365 this morning concerning a photograph of a swatch of water or sky (?) in variations of blue. The photo, http://artsalesindex.artinfo.com/asi/lots/4741646 , is being offered by Christie's (NYC) for $16,250 USD/12,584 EUR. It is the work of American photographer, Richard Misrach. If you are interested in purchasing Mr. Misrach's photo, please consider the fact that I am accepting bids for my 'Shades of Grey' composition. As I do not have the following of a Richard Misrach, the bidding is being opened at a mere $1,500US/1,158EUR. I will include framing of your choice. Do I hear a bid? :)
I had to laugh because I instantly thought of the discussion thread when I saw the thumbnail. The timing couldn't be more perfect to get a huge bid on this given the current 50 Shades of Grey craze.
You are definitely very current as grey is THE shade at the moment...some people pay such stupid money for what I would consider daubs!
Hilarious Peggy & well snapped, it does look a bit of a pea souper!
@sarasdadandmom Good for you, Terry! I knew I could count on you to get things going!! I'm already considering how I can make that junior police sticker badge work for me...in the event you happen to be the winning bid. :)
@sarasdadandmom Very generous that Terry and I can think of plenty of uses for a junior police sticker. I'm afraid I can only offer a coupon for a £10 eye test from Boots and one of my bespoke bicycle paper clips - actually I'm dithering on the paperclip.
I bid one smiley face sticker, a Trader Joe's flyer with wonderful recipes, and some Atlantic beach sand from Cape May NJ that I just found in the bottom of my suitcase.
