I needed something bright and cheerful to post today. It's been winter for a long time now. :)
Three good things:
1. Google. My mom thinks I'm a genius. I googled the issue she was having with her car and fixed it myself.
2. Putting Valentine's cards in the mail
3. Going to a "Fairy Festival" with my granddaughter tomorrow. It's held at Latta Plantation Nature Center and involves children dressed as fairies and gnomes, building fairy houses and forts, pony rides, fairy boats, story telling, gnome geocaching, and a zillion photo ops. This Grammy can't wait. :)
I've fallen a little behind with comments, but plan on a catch up session tonight.
You are a genius Peggy....lovely sunflowers always bring a smile....I haven't seen any yet in our shops. Lovely textures here.........I like the full frame too.
Two good fairies together...have a brilliant time!!
I never doubted you were able to "Make your Own Sunshine" at will! What a beautiful way to present it! ... You and Harper are going to have such an amazing time! I love the "genuine" sound of this fairy-tale day...not all Disney-esque! I'll share a secret...come July I can start having grand daughter days, too! Will make the announcement soon, but in this community, the secret is probably now out!
Re: your info about the lion cub, I began to have my suspicions when we walked away...like, "why was a 2-mo old nursing cub without her mother..." And then when I looked through my pictures last night for the first time, there was no web site... Well, there were two cubs...one 4 mo & much larger, but they looked very healthy and playful together. I hope the money at least goes to their care and feeding. As I said, "my little one" smelled so sweet and clean, so she was well-groomed at least and even toward the end of the day, the (large) cage was quite clean.) I will look at those web sites...and thanks for sharing that as you can see I had some questions about it!
@Weezilou What FANTASTIC news!!!! A granddaughter in the mix with your three boys...woohoo!!! I am so thrilled for you and your entire expanding family!! I'll be watching for the official announcement and details! Congratulations, Grandmother! It will be fun to shop 'girl' for a change of color. :)
You were probably wondering what in the world I was doing by your notifications. :) I posted those links, then deleted them, then posted again, and deleted again. I didn't want to spoil a sweet photo and wonderful memory. But I was torn by wanting to shed a light on what appears to be an unsavory practice. I'm glad you saw the info before the final delete.
@peggysirk Thanks for the smiles! Actually, I saw the info in my email...it wasn't on the site when I looked later. I knew exactly what you'd done for me...thanks for that! It was info I was personally interested in but now that all I have is a photo memory, it's nice to leave it as that! Thanks, m'friend!
The fairy festival sounds delightful! Enjoy the grandchildren while they're young. Mine have all grown up too fast! The youngest will be 8 soon. I am faving this beautiful photo - such beautiful sunflowers!
Gorgeous picture Peggy and SO cheerful.....thanks for sharing! My day is a little brighter after viewing your Sunflowers! The Fairy Festival should be great fun for both of you....we'll all be expecting some pictures! :)
