This is Rosedale Plantation. It was built in 1807, and was occupied by the Caldwell family until 1987 at which time it was gifted to the Historical Preservation Society. It is thought to be haunted by several members of the Caldwell family. I went on a group 'Haunted Tour' of the plantation last week and learned some interesting history of the house and the Charlotte area.
Three Good Things:
1. I saw or heard no ghosts, sensed no ominous (or friendly) presences, or felt any mysterious touches :)
2. Preserving pieces of history
3. Family and friends taking precautions and prepping for stormy weather along the SE coast
A wonderful old traditional house...... I love that sort of clap board type finish. Hope I’m not being rude saying that but that was the word that came to mind. Very like NZ made homes but a house instead of a single story.
