Hiking Along the Linville River

Molly has a print of a John Muir quote hanging in the cabin that says, ‘And into the forest I go, to lose my mind and find my soul’. That pretty much says it all.
Thee Good Things:
1. Saw two shooting stars very early this morning from the Eta Aquarid meteor shower! The night sky is amazing up here.
2. Tom caught a big trout with the special fly that Joel, at Foscoe Fly Fishing Outfitters tied for him. WooHoo!
3. Heading home tomorrow, but already looking forward to our next trip up in July.
Lovely picture and great quote.
Another noble Scottish gentleman I think.

@sarah19 Indeed, he was, Sarah. Born in Dunbar, Scotland. I’m so glad he found his way to the US...he was instrumental in wilderness conservation via the Sierra Club, and in the establishment of Yosemite National Park. A true friend of the environment.

Heaven! The foliage was the same in the Shawangunk Mountains where I was in New York. And I love that quote!
