My friend Cathy volunteers at Wing Haven, a neighborhood urban garden and bird sanctuary. I went with her to help her weed and water the herb garden this morning. We felt like filling all those watering cans and watering ourselves. The heat wave has arrived...94°F/34C today, 100°F/37C tomorrow and Friday.
