What I didn't knew coming into this trip it is that we also see sea lions, what an animal, OMG ... but also did not have so clear that I was going to go for a walk in the desert, that's the life in Huacachina. An oasis in the desert, full of life, with lots of leisure activity with the theme of the dunes and sandboarding, like snowboarding but on sand.
As Wikipedia says: Huacachina Lagoon is an oasis located five kilometers west of the Peruvian city of Ica, in the middle of the coastal desert of the Pacific. Emerald green waters, arose due to the upwelling of groundwater flow around it and there is an abundant vegetation made of palms, eucalyptus (introduced species) and the species known as Huarango carob, which serves the rest of migratory birds They pass through this region. All this contributes to making Huacachina one of the most spectacular and beautiful places of the Peruvian coast. Also known as the oasis of America.
The Ballestas Islands are a group of protected islands in the vicinity of Paracas, province of Pisco. Landing on them is not allowed, but from the boats it's possible to see all the animals: Humboldt penguins, pelicans, condors, boobies, flamingos, sea lions and dolphins.
