Tarte Tatin  by peterday

Tarte Tatin

I love tarte tatin. I asked Mrs Day , why not cook a tarte tatin, she said she did not have a proper pan. So at huge cost I bought her one, that was last week, and I have still not seen sight or sign of a tarte tatin. This story will be continued tomorrow.
I like this simple, uncluttered well composed image. Nice colours together.

Yes, nice colour contrasts. I have no idea what a tarte tatin is, but I hope you get one!

Well, I've got one of these but I don't think I would cook a taste latin in it! Prefer the oven!

@kali66 You cannot teach an old dog new tricks, and I am a very, very, old dog.

@peterday Except this lovely photo ;)

@maggiemae Sorry, I keep forgetting you are on the wrong side of the world, we are on the side that knows how to play rugby.

Very striking photo! I'm crossing my fingers for you ( there's one of those sayings).

Simple but so effective. Poor Mrs Day is going to be very busy, what with a new washing line and a tarte tartin pan. You really know how to spoil her!

you have tickled my itch to try something new. i do have several of these and now going to google for a recipe. i, too, bake my pies. if it comes out ok i will let you know. i have a reputation for burning at least one thing at dinner but also for being an extremely good cook - i burn things because i am always taking photos or talking!

@peterday Excuse me!........!

I like the bold colors- they say black and red are power colors. Maybe they will give you the power to make your own tarte tatin. Now I will have to find out what that is.
October 15th, 2016
Wonderful! Maybe it's time you went you a cookery class yourself?

Giver her time...remember Rome wasn't built in a day lol

@beckyk365 Thank you, I shall be starting a new theme, English and Cockney slang shortly, interesting to see if that gets a good run..
October 16th, 2016
@flowerfairyann Yes I do, and pleased to hear you agree.
October 16th, 2016
@catsmeowb Cant wait to hear the result of your baking, best of luck.
October 16th, 2016
@olivetreeann It is apple pie, cooked in a French style.

@julienne1 I am the wrong side of eighty, married nearly sixty years, and never cooked anything in my life. I think it unfair to ask me to start cooking now. Why don't you try, and send me a sample to taste.
October 16th, 2016
@leggzy Another saying. I am going to start a theme of English and Cockney slang, hoping it will be as successful as the sayings were.
October 16th, 2016
@peterday Mmmmmm- yum!
October 17th, 2016
@catsmeowb Photograph the result, and post
