Day and Night by pflaume

Day and Night

When I passed by this triangle shaped building, the sun was shining directly on one side, casting the other in shadow. I stood at the top of the triangle looking down the two sides to take this photo. I liked the contrast of light and dark and the split down the middle of this image. This is an interesting building to photograph; I will definitely return for more.
What a great shot, the contrast between the two sides is amazing
Not an easy shot to meter for but you've got it bang on - nice one:-)
A very interesting building.

I like the variation between sides. Wouldn't it be neat if two people were walking toward you on the bright side.

@kwind Yes! I thought about that later. I should have waited for that or recruited some models! Thanks for your comment, Kim.

February 21st, 2013
Wow! This sure works well. I think it helps that sunlit buildings are reflected on the dark side. Good eye, focus, composition and exposure.
February 21st, 2013
@rvwalker Thank you, Ross. I hadn't thought about it before but you are right, the light reflection on the right side is critical here. I got very lucky with the exposure. I didn't know how to approach it and just shot hoping for the best. :)
