Poolside by pflaume

Poolside

All the neighborhood kids in my part of town lived at this swimming pool during the summer months, arriving when it opened and staying until closing most days. I still can't pass it by without being flooded with the memories of lazy days and carefree summer fun. The facade is art deco style. It's painted a bright turquoise and purple, but I quite like it in black and white.
I like it black and white too. This has a really cool retro feel to it :)

Beautiful deco architecture. I'd love to see some shots of the inside; I take it its a lido rather than an indoor pool.

Great shot Lisa. Bring on summer

@missmercy Thanks Miss Mercy! It is a Lido pool, in fact. It is actually built above ground. The entrance and dressing rooms are at ground level and then you climb a flight of stairs to get up to the pool deck.

March 14th, 2013
Nice work putting it in B&W. We all know it is Art Deco & it must be painted in those sort of colours but B&W fires up my imagination to put those colours in there. Nice work.
