Scorched by pflaume

Scorched

A past wildfire charred the scrub trees and brush near the dunes, leaving an eerie, lonely landscape. This is one of the blackened remains.
Wow! That is spartan and very effective. I like the pale sepia tint to your shot.

Geepers, this is great. I'm very attracted to the strong lines and the symmetry. Also your processing has really worked well.

Paul is right, very Spartan but highly effective. I love the composition and that sun glare on the other side provides such a great contrast.

Beautiful photo.
It reminded me of the northeastern hinterland.
It is a region of Brazil plagued by heat and drought, where people live constantly in an extreme situation.
The weather was not enough, there is still the neglect of the Brazilian government.

It looks like a giant thorn without another object as a size reference. Intriguing.
March 27th, 2013
The brighter area/light bottom left really takes this above and beyond. Kind of "reminds" me of the fire that caused it, if you see what I mean.

Such a dramatic shot, Lisa. You have such a great eye.

Wow, quite a statement. My daughter was out west fighting those fires. She was in Idaho also. (I showed her your picture, asked her if the tree looked familiar. She rolled her eyes)
