Lonely Gate by pflaume

Lonely Gate

A gate standing alone, no fence in sight, was another curious relic on the abandoned property we explored during the weekend photography outing.
Fave....

Lisa, is this place in Idaho?
May 29th, 2013
@libertylady Hi Alice, yes, it's in Idaho. It's SE of Boise in the Camas/Fairfield area off Hwy 20. It took us about 90 minutes to get there from Boise.
May 29th, 2013
Amy
Gorgeous!
May 29th, 2013
@pflaume Thanks Lisa. I am in northern Utah at the moment but like to visit my daughter and her family in Pocatello. I will have to do some exploring--one of my favorite things to do.
May 29th, 2013
@libertylady If you head this far west, please let me know. Perhaps we could meet and do some exploring together!

@rvwalker You are the master of abandoned buildings and old fences so a fav from you means a lot! Thank you for the compliment. This is a great community!
May 30th, 2013
@gailmmeek Thanks Gail. I'm glad to know that I am not the only one using the Picasa. I always feel like I should make the effort to learn one of the more sophisticated programs but it's just so comfortable for me and I seem to be able to achieve what I want with it.
May 30th, 2013
WOW. This is just incredible. I love way you have framed the house--fav for sure!!!
May 30th, 2013
Great composition. Love this shot, Lisa, for its uniqueness and great pov.
May 30th, 2013
I love Picasa. I DID splurge on Lightroom when I joined 365, and I'm glad I did, but I spent many happy years using nothing but Picasa.

Ross is so right about your following. Good on you. You're so generous with your comments, and your own photos are always so well executed. Like this one. Fav.
May 30th, 2013

May 30th, 2013
Wonderful image...another fav!
May 30th, 2013
Very interesting! @squamloon told me about Picasa and I'm very thankful. Right now, I'm testing beta version of LR5. I wish I said I know THE ONE EDITOR I love, but Picassa has been a really easy and fun one to use that doesn't require too much pre-thinking for me. LR will be my editor. I still have PSE 10 but I never really use it.
May 30th, 2013
Another stunner Lisa! Faving you is always a pleasure!
