This was the last week for the butterfly exhibit at our local zoo. I hadn't been all summer and thought I had pay them a visit while I can. I had visions of the amazing butterfly photos that have been on display here over the past few week, but I found it's a lot harder to get good shots of them than it looks. This one must have taken pity on me. He was the only one who stood still for any length of time, posing if you will. I love the blue in his wings and the pattern of the netting.
The nature is fascinating; this butterfly is blessed with beautiful color and pattern. It is lucky he is showing off, it could be an inspiration for a fashion designer.
this almost looks like a 'set-up' shot :-) ...love how you have the fella exactly where you want me ... and that blue on blue works so brilliantly (i would have imagined that it would) ...and that is a special looker ... fav!!
You couldn't have set this up better if you'd tried. Love the blue. Just love it.
I think I'd somehow be happier if the butterfly was the other way up, but maybe that's just me since nobody else mentioned it. Doesn't stop it being a fav.
Love the play of pattern here. Nice, lisa
