Every year in my town, there is a four day hot air balloon rally. About 50 balloonists come from near and far to participate The balloons launch from a city park at sunrise every day and I always make it a point to attend. This year, however, I overslept my alarm and was too late for the actual launch. Disappointed in myself, I headed out anyway in the hopes of at least getting some shots of balloons in the sky. On my way to the event, I stumbled upon this great scene. The old train station, one of the most loved and photographed buildings in town, was dotted by balloons. I had this moment almost to myself and loved it. My poor timing turned out to be perfect timing after al!
this perspective makes it a unique ...love it as-is ... but acouple more balloons would have really enhanced the color quotient and festive mood ... still a FAV!!

@nanalisarocks How fun! That is so close. I bet you see them flying by even - depending on the winds. You should definitely try to attend. It was so fun and lots of wonderful photo ops!
How wonderful you were there to capture this! I love balloon fiestas too - sadly I missed the Bristol one but there are often balloons floating by on a clear day. Great capture! :-)
