Unusual cloud formations before a storm. I hope the boater got off the water before the heavy winds and rain hit!
The boat's placement at the very bottom of the frame is the result of crop to remove a line of bright yellow buoys that I found distracting. To me the boat is the last thing the eye finds in this image and is almost a surprise that way. I do like the dot of red and how the boat gives the scene perspective, emphasizing the size and drama of the sky.
for some reason sudden stormy/clody skies on a bright sunny day creates really magical light and tones ... this seems one such day ... love that dramatoc sky and the contrast with the green ... great light and tone ...hope that guy at the bottom made it out on time ...!!

I like this because it is a familiar scene. One time I was on our little reservoir when I saw a storm roaring in, and it was a race to get back to the boat ramp safely. This photo tells a story for me.
Very unusual cloud formation and a lovely scene. I know this sounds a bit weird, but I really like this upside down too - that way the clouds remind me of waves.
