The foggy morning was naturally monochrome. I decided to try selective color and keep the dotted path lines in yellow. I have never tried SC and wasn't sure how to accomplish it in LR5. I ended up finding a great YouTube tutorial to help. If you are interested in excellent LR5 and PS tutorials, I can highly recommend www.anthonymorganti.com.
Thank you so much for the great response to my last post, Morning Blush. You made my day!
The composition is wonderful and the yellow emphasizes the subtle curve very well. If it were mine, I would have lightened it just a little, but maybe we are seeking different moods.
What great atmosphere! We barely get any real 'fog' days so quite jealous - all we get is tons of snow. But I'm hoping spring will provide some fog when the snow starts to melt. Many thanks for the tutorial link - I need them! ;)
A great shot, absolutely amazing with the fog all over the place. I also love the fact that you took back the yellow. Selective color can be so cool, just like you have shown everyone with this shot :)
An instant fav, Lisa! I love the choice for SC and the leads on the tutorials, for when I finally get LR or PS. The mist/fog, the lines, the trees --it's just a gorgeous scene.
You're back! I guess you followed the yellow line back to us? Great shot, and not obviously selective coloured because the scene must have looked fairly monochrome as it was. Faaaaav :)
Long way to scroll down. Love that you have done this in black and white and with a hint of colour. It's very atmospheric and a fabulous composition too. Funnily I having being learning about SC in Photoshop Elements this week and have enjoyed doing it. Thanks for the info on the tutorials I will check them out as I have trialled Lightroom for 30 days. Fav
I've been getting fussier and fussier about who I follow lately. Can't help it. But your photos are wonderful! All have an atmosphere. Lots of favs and a definite follow!

You did an excellent job with this one highlighting the dotted line.
