We went into Nottingham after work for a meal to celebrate my wifes birthday.
We went via public transport on the bus (the number 58 bus), so we could enjoy a bottle of wine with the meal.
The buses into the city are double deckers and being a bit of a 'geek' I like to sit on the top deck on the front seat, because you get a great panoramic view through the front window !
You can get some nice pictures from the front seat (as long as it's not raining - no windscreen wipers on the top deck !)
I took 24 pictures on the 3 mile trip into the city (yes I did say 24 pictures !! - I told you I was a bit of a geek !!) and this was the first one I took. It's not necessarily the best but I've posted it because there's a lot to see and describe.
This is High Street in Arnold, on the left hand side is the car park entrance to ASDA (Walmart) and some beautiful cherry blossom trees. On the right hand side there is the Arnold Salvation Army , a gents barber, a unisex hairdressers, a pub / snooker hall, Arnold Labour Club an opticians a dentist and a chemist.
This is not the main shopping street of Arnold (the main shopping street is further to the left of ASDA.
I posted this picture mainly because of the blossom trees contrasting against the green ASDA sign ! The tree and sign may only be a small area, but I like way it frames the image and helps lead you down the road.
The image has been cropped and the saturatoin boosted a bit to compensate for taking the picture through the bus window !!
BTW: Nice meal in Nottingham in a French restaurant !
BTW2: Only 4 other passengers got onto the top deck on the journey into the city.

The trees on the left hand side are hiding the big ASDA (Walmart) car park.
