Breaking the rules of natural history photography !!
This is a Clematis in our garden.
It's the similar to the Clematis bush that I photographed last month, but is about 2 metres away from it and has slightly different shades of purple and the inside bit is different too.
Anyway I decided it was far too similar to the posting shown above, so decided to go photoshop elements crazy. I converted to B/W and then started messing about with the colour channel mixers on the curves screen.
The result......a slightly green tinged monochrome crop of a clematis flower in bright / direct sunlight.
I suppose this breaks all the rules of natural history photography, but I like it and it is an easy fill of a day on the 365 !!
lol - I love going crazy with photoshop sometimes too. At first I was thinking it couldn't be a flower - I've seen green flowers but this didn't look quite right. Then I read - photoshop :-) Anything is possible.
I like it too. Nothing wrong with playing around with a photo of nature, especially when you make it clear this is not how you saw it :) I like playing around with apps. One of these days I will get over my fear of photoshop and start using it. I guess I should just take the time to experiment, huh?
