Well, I think this was a rather lucky shot and capture,
I was doing a macro shot of this orange flower in our garden when a little insect flew into the frame.
Similar to my 'Love-in-a mist' flower, this orange beauty was just grown from some random seeds in a seed pack. They are a bit marigold-ish in nature but quite pretty when in full bloom.
I don't know what the insect is either ....but I rather like it, rather luckily it positioned itself almost on the thirds for this little macro image
This was done on my little Panasonic TZ7 compact, using the macro zoom option and a high ISO setting. I'm really pleased with how it turned out :)
:-) @andycoleborn@phil_howcroft Thank you boys for your faith! lol The insect is our favourite hoverfly.......very nicely flown in here for his shot. The flower...hhhmmm...a bit close up to tell, but from your descritpion of random seeds...hehee....I'd say you are right in saying marigold. A shot after my own heart here Phil.....lovely.
btw do you ever listen to Danny Baker on 5 live sat morning? Last week Arnold was getting some mentions and thought of you!!
A brilliantly clear shot & a bonus with the hover fly !! I would say a marigold too & they are a lovely cheerful flower !! Isn't this sunshine glorious too !!
