Arnold Post Office Customers by phil_howcroft

Arnold Post Office Customers

This is our local post office in Arnold Town Centre.

These are a few of the customers coming and going.

My daughter and wife were in the Post Office getting a parcel weighed, so I loitered outside to try and get a 'street shot'. I only had my android phone, so shot from the hip 'blind'.

The wide angle of the android phone has captured quite a good scene. I cropped some redundant space to the left of the street furniture and some of the lead in line of the pavement (sidewalk). I did a B/W conversion and went as contrasty as I could to try and create an urban feel.

The building next to the post office is the church hall of the Arnold Methodist church

I didn't realise you could get 'sued' at the post office!!....

I'm impressed with the old man carrying his shopping, his umbrella and his walking stick

Had a busy weekend and a busy Monday, so only had time to upload this shot....I will do a mega 'catchup' and 'comment' tomorrow, while I listen to the footie on the radio / tv / internet !!!!

Thanks to everyone who comments on my pics :)

cool shot Phil - wondering whether the old man may be you in a few (alright several!) years time - minus whippet and camera - he left them at home for a rest!! Love the "sued" reference!!

..the bloke exiting the PO is timeless too, unless its one of those fake bald wigs.

Cracking shot Phil! I think @sparkle has been a bit cheeky there - we know you won't venture out without a camera ;o)

Very sharp image from your Android, Phil. I do like the English village feel of this, as though each person is your neighbor and there are no cars to be seen.
