Gerbera Bokeh by phil_howcroft

Gerbera Bokeh

A Gerbera plant bought at IKEA this afternoon.

Shot at f2.8 to give some bokeh.

Added a yellow border, not too sure if it adds anything to the image or is just adding a border for a borders sake !

The plant was really hard to shoot because you always had two flowers in the frame.

Now THAT is a flower! Love the almost 3D quality of this composition, Phil. Each petal is perfection and the contrast between the bright yellow and the deep green leaves is wonderful. It's a fav, for sure.

That is one healthy looking plant! Such a cheerful looking photo & I love the yellow border,it's not too thick that it takes away the impact of the flower. Super back ground, all fuzzy & bokeh too!

This is really nice Phil, I know what you mean about borders but in this case it works well and finishes off your beautiful flower shot. Fav!

Phil, you're getting some great proportions here rule of thirds to the max.
