A bridge to the Reebok by phil_howcroft

A bridge to the Reebok

A bridge from Horwich railway station that leads to the Reebok stadium, Bolton

My Saturday afternoon was wasted watching my 'poor excuse of a football team' lose 1-0 to Crystal Palace .

This is an almost silhouette shot of the bridge contrasted against the big sky.

The football was dire, no pace, no idea, no heart and soul

3 good things.......

difficult to find 3 after that performance......but...

1) I brought my dads 'slide collection' from my mums. So I will de scanning lots of the 'Howcroft Archives' over the next feww weeks

2) Motorways were clear on the journey home !

3) Early morning - 7.30am - 'Ruby walk' was very autumnal
At least you got to see your team today mate..! My day was stuck in traffic jams before breaking down and spending half the day in the hands of the AA...

On a brighter side... At least we won :-)

I love the sky - it really makes the picture. So who's your team then? Our team won today, so hubby's happy. Sunderland beat Wigan 1-0

@busylady bolton wanderers judith, although to call them a 'team' is a bit too kind ..they were shambolic

Looking up at this beautiful sky must help put things in perspective, right Phil?

What a shame .......and on such a glorious autumn day!! Love your sky and the structure looks like the mast of a ship, lovely........

I am sorry your team lost Phil, but hope springs eternal .. and all that! Like your shot of the elegant structure soaring upwards, lovely. I too have a mass for my dad's slides!! Hundreds of little orange boxed full! One day I have to do the same as you. That will be a nostalgia-fest!

You can't be blamed for a lack of support. A true fan.
