Horses Horses Everywhere...Slight over saturated horses too

I was off work on Friday and we went on a long morning walk across to Bestwood. You've seen quite a few images from the surrounding areas on my 365. Once again the light was far from ideal but I did manage to capture a group of horses...in fact what do you call a group of horses and ponies......google says any of Drove, Harass, Herd, Stable, Team, Stud , Cavvy ...I'll go for 'stud' as all these horsers and ponies are from the same 'teaching school / stables'

Very over saturated to try and eek some colours out of the poor light ....auto equalise again in Gimp photo editor...

I really like the horses that have gone around the corner at the bottom of the lane !!!

Shot while Ruby was pulling on her lead and whimpering to try and say hello to the 'stud of horses' !!

Note : This is at the junction of a muddy path (from the stables) to the narrow lane ...I could have got a more interesting straight on shot of the horses approaching, but that would have meant publishing photos of some of the children on the horses, which in England in the year 2012 is unacceptable. We quite rightly have to respect these guidelines.
Great composition

An instant fave Phil! I love everything about it...the over blown colour, I always did like a colourful shot... & the narrow lane bordered with the pretty hedges & the 'stud' of horses going round the corner. You have a beautiful part of the world & one I have never been to.

I like the purple hedging and don't think you've overdone it at all.

What a wonderful picture of your countryside with its narrow lane and high hedgerows. I love the way the herd fills the road. Looks like your trees are still in summer garb.

What a little slice of English paradise - especially as you've done away with 'dull'!

@fannyb thanks fanny, the law says we can photo whoever we want in public, but my take on the photo was better to shoot from behind the horses :)
