A timely reminder.........

........a dog is for life not just for Christmas


We rescued our little Whippet dog Ruby from the Dogs Trust at Evesham in March 2011.

We always try and support the Dogs Trust, we send our recycled print cartridges to them and buy things from them online.

Last week we got her a new collar, harness and treated Jane and myself to some new mugs.

These are the said mugs, nice shiny and new and with a very appropriate message

Well done Phil, you've done a good thing there. Lucky little Ruby. I support JR whippet rescue based near Haverfordwest who take in and re-home abandoned whippets. Like the mugs!

@tishpics thanks patricia, the mugs were really hard to photograph, the glazing makes lots of reflective light...we don't know Ruby's history ...the Dogs Trust don't really tell you the history.....they think she might be Irish, because lots of greyhounds and whippets are abandoned in Ireland

Lovely mug and lovely charity, we have a Blue Cross in the village and they laugh about the time the only dog they had was a three legged greyhound...which they ended up keeping!

I have a colleague who adopted a greyhound. She is a beautiful dog with a racing track background. My friend had to pass a strict vetting process to be allowed to adopt her. It is a wonderful thing when an adoption can make 2 parties happy.
