50 mono portraits at 50mm : No. 43 : City Centre Busker

This is the mono version of the young city centre busker photo from a couple of weeks ago

I wanted her to appear in my mono portrait series, although most people will think the colour shot is better.

Anyway, this young lady still looks fabulous in mono as well as colour

The link below shows the colour shot

She's beautiful, no matter what, but I prefer the mono version.

Funny, I thought I recognized her. Still a lovely pic, wonderfully captured

She was very memorably in colour and I really liked that shot. But I actually really like the shot in b&w too.

This is my favourite too.

It doessn't lose anything in mono Phil, and still looks great. Only 7 more to go!

To me it seems the freckles are more conspicuous in the B&w shot. She is a lovely young lady and you captured her magnificently.

Great portrait Phil

Thanks for the link. It's hard to say which I prefer but, on balance, through viewing all your mono portrait shots, I think I've come to prefer portrait shots in b&w.

I liked it more in color, because now her freckles that were so adorable in color compete with the texture of the wall behind her. So, I would vote for color version.

Super portrait!

Yes she does indeed Phil. I rather like it better in b&w.

Yes, she does look great in mono too. I like this because it concentrates the eye a little more on that fab. expression but I'd be hard pushed to choose between this and the colour version, in fact I don't think I could because for me they say two different things. Lovely portraits both.

You took a beautiful shot of her. I hope she will get a copy as I am sure she will love it!

I like both images - I am sure she would too!

@phil_howcroft

It's great to learn from talented photographers on here. I was already quite brave too at asking folk for portraits - now I'm a bit braver!
