I agree..super street shot...really like how you positioned this and kept those foreground shadows and glad you chose b&w. It does look great on black. You're inspiring to use the A6000 more (i've been sick for a week so gave up on learning....will get back to it now!)
Don't you hate that - to and fro in the dark. I don't see the garden for 5 days a week! Thanks for your love in the mist comment - always better in the mist - can't see what you're getting into! lol!
@ivan Ivan thanks for your comment and the comparison to Parr. I am very honoured that you think so . I am familiar with the photo and do like it . Parr studies at MAnchester Poly and I have seen a photo he did at Burnden Park (the old ground of Bolton Wanderers)
@phil_howcroft Hope your photo is appreciated on the camera club circuit. I see that there is now Parr Foundation/Gallery in Bristol, just opened. Must get there. :)
Btw, I got the Sony 6300 just before we went to Holland etc end Sept. Like it a lot, though giving up the 30 year association with Pentax SLR kit was an emotional wrench.
I guess that lady standing outside is huddled up against the cold but she looks so miserable and dejected. The people in the brightness and warmth of the cafe provide a contrast that serves to magnify her plight.
Lester used to complain about not seeing any daylight during the winter when he was at work and for over 3 years towards the end of his working life he was driving a 200-mile round commute every day, which made it even more 'fun'.
@dulciknit Alison.i know about long commutes. For 14 years I was a freelance IT consultant ( sounds posh... a self employed IT Systems / Business Analyst. ... Very much the IT equivalent of the gig economy ) , travelling to work in Coventry/ Solihull / Warwickshire on a daily basis. Short Winter Days were always glum 😀
