Our local parish church remembrance was a simple yet effective memorial today.
A wooden cross was erected on the lawn outside the church and the congregation, children's church and scout and guide organisations placed poppies around the cross.
The Borough Council and the City of Nottingham had larger public events, but this image seems to capture a respectful way of remembering.
