Another shot with my HELIOS 44M 58/2 vintage Russian lens.
I don't drink GIn, preferring wine (especially a Chilean Carménère) . When I say I don;t drink Gin, I did enjoy some Spanish Gin and Tonic's on holiday in Mallorca last summer. It tasted quite nice sat on the hotel terrace on a warm evening listening to the crickets !
So I did an impulse buy in our local Lidl of one of their London Dry Gins. I'm no expert , but was drawn to the beautiful bottle and labelling. When I read the little booklet that accompanied the bottle it said the botanicals included Coriander, which isn't one of my favourite herbs ! Anyway when I get round to trying it, I will report back with my findings.
i hope you like this artistic (by my standards) Gin photo
When I saw the bottle I thought it was holy water. Well drinkers that's what they call spirits so I wasn't far away from the truth. I have several bottles of gin at home and they have been with me for many years, all presents for Christmas. Since when I have the rare drink it is whiskey they will remain there for my heirs. That vintage lens seems to be fantastic. Btw the gold bokeh looks like coins falling from the sky.
Gin is one drink that I just don't like at all .... I wish I did as there are so many around!
Lovely photo - that vintage lens looks like it is a good one.
Interesting to read about this Spanish gin, I love a G&T so will be interested I your opinion! So many lovely bottles, they are quite tempting just for the bottle alone! I have had Aldi gin which is very reasonable & I like it but never been in a Lidl store.
Lovely photo - that vintage lens looks like it is a good one.
Have a lovely Christmas! :)
