Monsal Trail Bridge by phil_howcroft

Monsal Trail Bridge

We went on a walk today (Saturday), it was my wife's birthday.

We went into the Peak District in Derbyshire and went for a walk on the Monsal Trail.

The Monsal Trail is an reclaimed railway track, which is now used by walkers, cyclists and horses/

There are lots of photogenic bridges and long tunnels to walk through.

This is the first bridge we saw, the first pic I took. If you look carefully through the bridge you can see my wife and my little whippet dog.

My fitbit thingy told me we walked 25,7K steps , which works out about 11.7 miles .

We had a picnic and enjoyed nearly 5 hours in the fresh air of Derbyshire

Shot with my Sony A600 and Samyang 12mm.

Looks nice don't you think ?
Happy Birthday, Jane!
Yes, it looks lovely. Good idea to include Jane and Ruby in the shot, they make an effective focal point - or two, strictly speaking, I guess :-)

Lovely framing of your walker & Ruby Phil, a happy birthday to Mrs H. This scene reminds me if the large Avenham Park in Preston, that park is by the railway station & alongside the River Ribble, lots of bridges like this.
