Shrimps

A pattern shot with a legacy vintage lens,

My Pentacon 50mm f1.8 (one of two 50mm Pentacon's I own)

Shrimps !
I can't help wondering what you are doing with all those colour drained shrimps? but I guess they are strangely good to eat. And they create a fine pattern in the meanwhile.

Lovely detail - I am not familiar with shrimps of that variety 😁

@annied @helenhall Helen / Annie , they are sweets , my daughter claire had a sweet stall at her wedding reception , there was a box of shrimps left over, they are foamy and sugary , quite a retro old school sweet from back in the day !

You do get these vintage lenses to work well for you, Phil. I'd be interested in comparing how they perform on different camera, film as well as digital.

Fascinating!

I can see the place pink colour here even though they are black & white! A rather weird sickly pink it is too!

Oh these are a real blast from the past - great detail and memories:)

Interesting: the light and the b&w emphasise the shape and form of the sweets but, as someone who remembers them so well, for me their one-step-removed-from-lurid pink is so distinctive it's part of their essence in a way. That would be irrelevant to someone who isn't familiar with them, I guess.
That said, they make a cool image and the tones are great.
