Preparing for En Pointe

My last photo (for a while) from my ballet photo shoot at my friends studio

Ballet dancers wear special shoes to achieve the "en pointe" position.

This is Poppy putting on her Pointe Shoes.

Pointe shoes were conceived in response to the desire for dancers to appear weightless and sylph-like and have evolved to enable dancers to dance en pointe (on the tips of their toes) for extended periods of time.

all I remember was the feet when they came out of my daughter's pointe shoes lol. she couldn't turn out properly so she traded them in for cheer shoes. a much happier girl. she was always so beautiful in her dance wear though just as this young lady is.
