This is a selfie of me shot with an Ernst Leitz Wetzlar Elmar f=9cm 1:4 vintage lens.
It's a Leica portrait lens 90mm focal length from 1937. Yes 1937 !!!
It used to be my fathers lens from his Leica Rangefinder Camera. It's a bit battered, the focus ring and aperture ring move quite nicely for such an old piece of equipment. There is a bit of haze on the lens.
Does it work OK? Well attached to my Sony A7 full frame you can judge for yourself.
The SOOC image was a bit flat, but a few post processing tweaks and it has produced a half decent shot.
I used the lens back in February 2018 on my Sony A6000, it's how I got started with vintage lenses. I wanted to see how it would perform on a full frame camera.
This was shot in fading end of day light, so I ought to give it a test in better light.
@sangwann quite a decent lens Dione. 83 going on 84 years old !!!
@pdulis cheers peter
@spanner I am always amazed by the results I get with my vintage collection
